Hochschule Trier (Trier University of Applied sciences)

This university is spread over three campuses (Trier, Idar-Oberstein and Birkenfeld), and has around 7000 students. Subjects on offer include informatics, business, law, design and environmental studies. Due to the university’s many exchange agreements, there is a strong international element within the student environment. Trier has over 106,000 people and is located in the west of Germany, close to the borders of France, Belgium and particularly Luxembourg.

About the agreement
The agreement covers informatics and Combined Business /Technical.

Who can apply?
For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 study credit points on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad. It is also necessary to have attained 30 study credit points before applying for a period abroad.

Informatics: Two places for a year
Combined Business /Technical: Two places for a year

Language of teaching
German and English

Semester timing
Autumn semester: October – January
Spring semester: March – June

Tuition fees
Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.

Accommodation
International students can apply for student accommodation.
