• 3rd - 7th August - Orientation Week

  Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) arranges orientation week for new international students from 3rd to tth August, program can be found here.

• 7th. August - Start of the Buddy Week

  The NMBU Buddy Week starts on Friday 7th of August. The programme for the Buddy Week will be published by the end of June.

• 10th August – Information Day

  This day the faculty staff will welcome you to the School of Economics and Business. You will receive important information by the programme leader and study advisor.

• 11th August – Start of Studies

  The courses in the Autumn Block starts on Tuesday 11th August.

• 14th August – Matriculation Ceremony

  In the beginning of each academic year (in August), NMBU holds the annual Matriculation Ceremony to introduce new students. The matriculation is a traditional and formal ceremony to commemorate admission to higher education in Norway.

  We cordially invite all new students to the ceremony, which will take place on the lawn in front of the Clock Building.

  The ceremony will include speeches by Rector, Leader of Student Parliament, Deans and an international student. There will also be music and the distribution of roses. You will find more practical information about the matriculation ceremony here.
