Extensive experience in water and environmental engineering, with a particular interest in mechanistic mathematical modelling. Holds a PhD focused on microbial risk assessment models (QMRA) for drinking water and a Master's degree on the impacts of climate change on urban stormwater drainage systems. Has taught a wide range of courses at NMBU, with a primary focus on fluid mechanics in recent years. Received the Student Award for Best Lecturer of the Semester in autumn 2018. Has supervised approximately 75 Master's theses covering a broad range of topics. Served as Head of the Water and Environmental Engineering Group at NMBU from 2021 to 2026.
