I am bioinformatician and evolutionary biologist working with climate adaptations in plants in Siri Fjellheim's Research Group. For the time being, I am affiliated with the NRC project Live or let die? where I try to disentangle the genetic basis for annual and perennial life histories in temperate grasses (Pooideae) using RNA-sequencing and gene expression analyses. I am further interested in statistical methodology and theory, especially functional data analysis (FDA) of both gene expression and phenotypic data.
Apart from crunching numbers on large computers, I am also passionate about biodiversity and spend a much of my free time on species identification and taxonomy of all sorts of cool plants, fungi, and lichens.
