Mandatory Tuberculosis (TB) Screening for Students from High-Incidence Countries
Norway requires that individuals from countries with a high incidence of Tuberculosis (TB) undergo mandatory TB screening. The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) has provided a list of countries where this requirement applies. You can refer to this list here: NIPH List of Countries.
To facilitate this process, a nurse from the Health Centre in Ås will visit NMBU to discuss the screening procedure with affected students and schedule their TB tests. If you are from one of the listed countries, you are required to attend. The nurse will also offer three drop-in sessions for you to connect with her and arrange your screening.
Please note that this screening is a mandatory condition for your study permit, as required by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI). Failure to undergo TB screening may result in the revocation of your residence permit.
