Parking

NMBU requires payment for parking on campus. Parking fee can be paid using parking meters or the app Apcoa Flow.

  • Guest parking spaces can be found in Mazemap. Parking applies on weekdays from 8 am – 17 am. Parking is free of charge on weekends and holidays.

    Guests pay for parking via the Apcoa Flow app or use of parking meters:

    Code 6658 – guest parking without charging: NOK 10 per hour + NOK 2 entry fee.

    Code 6659 – Guest parking with charging: NOK 28,50,- per hour + NOK 2 entry fee.

    You can find the app in Apple store and Google Play. For Windows phones visit www.apcoa.no as they are not supported in the app.

    Ticketless parking (registers the registration number of the car). This applies to guest parking at Eika sports center/Damstykket and Veterinærbygningen. At weekends and on public holidays, the reservation does not apply to employees or students and all parking spaces can be used free of charge. The maximum parking time is 24 hours.

    For guests to NIBIO, SKP and Husdyrfagbygningen (Animal science building)

    • NIBIO (Norwegian Institute for Bioeconomy, Høgskoleveien 7) – Registration is done electronically at the reception in Høgskoleveien 7.

    • SKP (Centre for climate-regulated plant research, Kirkevegen 16) - Registration is done electronically at the reception in Kirkeveien 6.

    • Husdyrfagbygningen (Oluf Thesens vei) - A reserved guest space on the north side of the building.

    These parking spaces are reserved for guests of the mentioned institutions/buildings. It is important to follow the signage on site.

    In the guest parking lot at Damstykket/Eika sports center you will find a charging station for guests. See signage on site.

    Guest parking for a longer period

    Guests who need a guest parking space over several days or weeks can arrange a solution with their contact person at NMBU.

  • All employees must register their vehicle (also applies to mopeds and motorcycles) electronically in order to be able to park in the employee car park all working days between 08.00 and 17.00. Login via Feide. Employees may have registered two vehicles in the Apcoa Flow app. The parking is free.

    Motorbikes and mopeds must park in space reserved for cars or motorbikes in the car parks, or you can park outside the marked spaces in the parking area if you are not obstructing others. Motorcycles and mopeds cannot park in bicycle parking lots. The parking company enforces the parking scheme for NMBU.

    Exceptions

    If a HC space is needed for a short period, contact your leader. The order have to be made by your leader and sent to parking, Real Estate and Facility service using NMBUhelp. HC space will be issued as a digital parking permit.

    Service vehicles that are uniformed (with logo on vehicle) do not need a digital parking permit. Registration of a private car as a service car can be granted where services connected to work is required. The background for need, with approval of the manager, is to be sent to the Estate and Facilities Department by NMBUsupport or email parkering@nmbu.no.

    During events, meetings and teaching, there may be special needs for extra parking. Contact parkering@nmbu.no in reasonable time to find good solutions.

    It is permitted to park for up to 15 minutes in front of all buildings in connection with loading and unloading.

  • To park at NMBU, students must live more than 3 km from Meierikrysset. There is a lot of traffic in the car parks and we ask students to respect the driving distance from their place of residence to NMBU. The car cannot be left for more than 24 hours.

    Each student can park one registered vehicle at a time. You can register several vehicles in the app, but you must ensure that the correct vehicle is registered when you park.

    There is a separate parking agreement for parking spaces connected to SiÅ's residences. You can find more about SiÅ's scheme in this link. Residents of SiÅ's residences must not use NMBU's student parking spaces.

    If a HC space is needed for a short period, students can send an email to tilrettelegging@nmbu.no, and may able a digital parking permit.

    The parking is free.

    The number of parking spaces for students is in accordance with the regulations from the municipality, and is 0.03 spaces per student.

    Motorbikes and mopeds must park in spaces reserved for cars or motorbikes, but can park youre MC/moped outside marked spaces in the car parks, if they do not obstruct others. Motorcycles and mopeds cannot park in bicycle parking lots.

    Students must register their vehicle digitally in app Apcoa Flow app. Windows phones are not supported. You must then use Apcoa's website to register. All students at NMBU must register their vehicle electronically in order to park in student parking.

    The electronic agreement must be renewed once a year. There will be a push notification in advance. This also applies to mopeds and motorcycles.

    Student cards are used at most charging points. Some chargers require a key/tag.

  • Parking maps with charging stations can be found in Mazemap, open the categories and select parking for guest, student, employee or HC to se location.

    The charging fee is NOK 5,- per kWh. This covers costs for electricity and infrastructure. There is payment at charging points around the clock, starting fee is NOK 2.

    Code 6704 - high effect for employee/student– charging 18,50,- NOK per hour
    Code 6705 - lav low effect for employee/student– charging 12,- NOK per hour
    Code 6659 - Charging guest parking 28,50,- NOK per Hour + 2,-NOK starting fee

    Apcoa has its own payment system. The charging posts are not connected to the Apcoa app. They charge regardless of the payment. There is a mark with a tariff group on the pole, which indicates whether they charge with high or low power.
    Connect and check if the charging post works before paying in the app. Errors on the post should be reported to parkering@nmbu.no.

    User charges/pays at their own risk. There is an obligation to pay as long as the car is connected to a charger, regardless of whether it is actually charging.

    In order to be able to connect the charger, an employee/student card is used at most charging points. Some require a key/tag.
