On June 19th, a delegation from Bio4Fuels travelled to the Research Council of Norway to take part in a ceremony marking the conclusion of the Centres for Environment-friendly Energy Research (FME).
The event focused on the presentation of the Impact Study, which evaluated the scientific, industrial, societal and environmental contributions of the FME centres.
Alongside other FME leaders, Duncan Akporiaye presented the achievements of the Bio4Fuels centre, highlighting its impact over the past eight years. His presentation emphasized the centre’s role in advancing technology for sustainable fuel production from biomass, fostering collaboration between research, industry, society and end-users, as well as supporting the establishment and growth of companies focused on liquid biofuels in Norway.
The day concluded with a panel discussion on the FME grant scheme—its execution, outcomes and future potential. The ceremony ended with a gesture of appreciation, as flowers were presented to the centre leaders in recognition of their contributions.
