The project “Navigating Growth and Sustainability: Co-creating Local Climate-Resilient Development Practice in the Oslofjord Region” has received 12.5 million NOK in funding from the Research Council.
With this support, the Center for Climate-Robust Change (KRED) and the co-creation of knowledge and solutions for local climate-resilient initiatives in the Follo region will gain significant momentum.
This collaborative project between NMBU, the Follo Region IPR, and Akershus County Municipality is led by Siri Eriksen and involves a larger group of researchers across LANDSAM, the School of Economics and Business, and MINA.
The project is the result of collaboration developed through NMBU’s Sustainability Arena TOWARDS (Sustainable Cities and Communities), as well as the piloting of co-creation methods under the SKAPE program and KRED.
The four-year project will contribute to a major boost in cooperation between NMBU and the Follo region—the six Follo municipalities Ås, Nordre Follo, Nesodden, Frogn, Vestby, and Enebakk—and aims to help the region take a leading role in driving societal change toward sustainability while creating attractive local communities.
