  Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) arranges orientation week for new international students from 3 to 7 August, program can be found here.

• 7 August - Start of the Buddy Week

  The NMBU Buddy Week starts on Friday 7 August. The programme for the Buddy Week will be published by the end of June.

• 10 August – Information Day

  • 08:45 Welcome - coffee and cinnamon buns outside the Tower Building
  • 09:00-09:15 Welcome remarks by Dean Per Botolf Maurseth
  • 09:15-11:45 Academic and study information (room T216, Tower Building) by Programme Director Arild Angelsen and Student Adviser Kateryna Krutskykh

• 11 August – Start of Studies

• 14 August – Matriculation Ceremony

  In the beginning of each academic year (in August), NMBU holds the annual Matriculation Ceremony to introduce new students. The matriculation is a traditional and formal ceremony to commemorate admission to higher education in Norway.

  We cordially invite all new students to the ceremony, which will take place on the lawn in front of the Clock Building.

  The ceremony will include speeches by Rector, Leader of Student Parliament, Deans and an international student. There will also be music and the distribution of roses. You will find more practical information about the matriculation ceremony here.
