Autumn semester 2026

August 

  1. 3 -7 Orientation week for new international students
  2. 10 Semester starts
  3. 10 August Block through 29 August
  4. 12 Deadline for August Block registration and withdrawal
  5. 12 Deadline to apply for special needs facilitation for August Block examinations  – for students who previously have not been granted facilitations
  6. 14 Matriculation Ceremony at 13:00
  7. 31 August Block examination

September

  • 1 Autumn Parallel through 4 December
  • 15 Deadline for Autumn Parallel registration
  • 15 Deadline for semester registration / semester fee / confirmation of educational plan 
  • 15 Deadline for Thesis registration (withdrawal not possible after 15 September)
  • 15. Deadline to apply for exchange studies spring 2027

October

  1. 1 Deadline for registration for re-examination (konte) in December 2026
  2. 1 Deadline to apply for special needs facilitation for autumn semester - for students who previously have not been granted facilitations
  3. 5  – 9 Mental Health Awareness week at NMBU. World Mental Health Day 10 October
  4. 15 Deadline for Autumn Parallel withdrawal

November

  • 1 Deadline for re-examination (konte) in December 2026 withdrawal
  • 1 Deadline to apply for transfer to another study program
  • 7 Submission of degree thesis opens in WISEflow

December

  1. 1 Deadline for January Block registration
  2. 7  – 18 Autumn Parallel examinations
  3. 15 Deadline for Thesis submission
  4. 21 and 22 Re-examination (konte) for some courses from Spring Parallell, June Block and August Block.

Spring Semester 2027

January

  1. 4 Semester starts
  2. 4 January Block through 22 January
  3. 6 Deadline for January Block withdrawal
  4. 25 and 26 January Block examination
  5. 27 Spring Parallel through 7 May

February

  1. 1 Deadline for Spring Parallel registration
  2. 1 Deadline for semester registration / semester fee / confirmation of educational plan 
  3. 1 Deadline for Thesis registration (withdrawal not possible after 1 February)
  4. 1 Deadline to apply for exchange studies autumn 2027 / spring 2028

March

  1. 1 Deadline for registration for re-examination (konte) in May
  2. 1 Deadline to apply for special needs facilitation for spring semester  – for students who previously have not been granted facilitations
  3. 15 Deadline for Spring Parallel withdrawal  
  4. 22 Easter Holiday through 29 March (no classes)

April

  1. 1 Deadline for re-examination (konte) in May withdrawal
  2. 1 Deadline for June Block registration
  3. ? Submission of degree thesis opens in WISEflow

May

  1. 1 Deadline for June Block withdrawal     
  2. 6 Ascension day (no classes)
  3. 10  – 24 Spring Parallel examinations
  4. 15 Deadline for Thesis submission (if the deadline falls on a Saturday / Sunday or public holiday, the following working day will be the new deadline)
  5. 25 and 26 Re-examination (konte)

June

  1. 1 Deadline to apply for transfer to another study program
  2. 1 June Block through 25 June
  3. 11, 18 and 25 June Block examinations
  4. 25 End of academic year
