We offer research-based teaching in ruminant and horse nutrition, physiology, fodder production, grazing ecology and grazing, milk and meat production, production diseases and reindeer husbandry.

The sectin has access to and uses state-of-the-art research infrastructure to carry out forward-looking research and teaching. The most important research infrastructure for the group is the Metabolism department where we carry out basic in vivo, in vitro and in sacco experiments. The Livestock Production Research Centre and the Center for Feed Technology supply infrastructure for production trials with ruminants and for the production of specific concentrate types for trials, respectively.

Chemical analyzes are performed at LabTek
