  • EU/EEA/Swiss citizens: Master programmes

    Application procedures for Norwegian, Nordic, EU/EEA and Swiss citizens

    The application portal opens 15 February.
    The application deadline is 15 April.

  • International and EU/EEA/Swiss applicants: Bachelor programme

    The application deadline for International Environment and Development Studies varies depending on your background.

    1) If you have upper secondary education from outside the Nordic countries and cannot document proficiency in Norwegian:

    Application deadline: 1 December, the year before you plan to start.

    2) If you meet the general entrance requirements including documented proficiency in Norwegian and English at the required level, you can apply in Samordna opptak. Please note that in Samordna opptak, Norwegian at B2 level is an admission requirement even if the programme is taught in English. The programme also has special requirements in English (ENG4). Check the requirements for your country here.

    Application deadline: 15 April through Samordna Opptak (the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service).

  • International applicants from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland: Master programmes

    Application procedures for international applicants.

    The application portal opens 15 October.
    The deadline for applying is 1 December.
    All programmes start in August the following year.

  • Incoming exchange students

    Apply for exchange studies at NMBU.

  • PhD degrees
