BatCAT Open Training Event: On-line characterization within digitalized manufacturing

Automatisert produksjonslinje for batterier.

About the event

This training will explore how digital technologies are transforming characterization in manufacturing, with a strong focus on battery production. Key aspects to be discussed include:

• Integration of digital twins for manufacturing optimization
• Advances in electrochemical characterization of Li-ion and post-Li-ion cells
• Applications of IoT, sensors, and Industry 4.0 in industrial contexts

The event brings together internal and external experts to highlight state-of-the-art developments and share practical insights into the role of characterization within a digitalized production environment.

Confirmed external speakers

• Prof. John Erkoyuncu (Cranfield University, UK) - Digital twins in manufacturing
• Dr. Daniele Versaci (Politecnico di Torino, Italy) - Electrochemical characterization of Li-ion and post-Li-ion cells
• Dr. Davide Tazzioli (University of Bologna, Italy) - IoT, Industry 4.0, and sensors in manufacturing
The training is co-located with the BatCAT M21 Consortium Meeting in Newcastle (UK).
