About this course
This online course will comprise theories and methods in organizational and leadership psychology. Themes covered are motivation and rewards, learning and transfer of experience in organisations, problem solving and decision processes, personality and leadership, attitudes and organisational culture, work environments, social networks and groups and teams.
Learning outcome
Knowledge
- Be aware of the most important theories within organizational psychology
- Understand how empirical research is used to test and support theories in psychology
- Understand how psychological theories may be applied to improve productivity and well-being in organizations.
Skills
- Be able to differentiate between key assumptions related to different psychological theories and approaches.
- Be able to evaluate typical challenges in organizations (e.g., related to motivation, learning, or decision making) in light of psychological theories and principles
- Be able to identify which psychological theories and methods that may be utilized to address typical challenges in organizations.
