Course contents:
The course consists mainly of lectures on management, planning and operation of public infratstructure. Basic principles for design and construction of roads, water supply and drainage systems, local stormwater management to prevent flooding, use of stormwater as a resource, as well as basic principles in solid waste management.  In addition, principles for localization of houses  adapted to landscape and local climate is covered, as well as fire protection/-fighting and universal design.
Learning outcome:
The students are to acquire knowledge regarding municipal organisation, as well as planning, construction and operation of municipal technical systems, like buildings, road systems, water and wastewater systems, waste handling and recycling.

Written examination, 3 hours. Multiple choice.
Nominal workload:
5 credits correspond to ca. 125 hours workload in total. In addition to the structured teaching, 8 hours of work per week is to be expected.
Type of course:
Approx. 32 hours lectures. 
Examiner:
The external and internal examiner jointly prepare the exam questions and the correction manual. The external examiner reviews the internal examiner's examination results by correcting a random sample of candidate's exams as a calibration according to the faculty's guidelines for examination markings.
