Course contents:
The course shall provide the students with basic knowledge about what innovation is and the importance of innovation for value creation of firms and society.
Introduction to innovation. Innovating team. Creativity and innovation. Design thinking. What is innovation management. Decision-making under uncertainty. Sustainability and innovation.

The course is based on active participation of the students and focuses on knowledge building through individual problem solving, exercises, presentations and group work.
The course will focus on starting the team-work which will be continued in the autumn semester in INN340/341 Entrepreneurship in practice.

Syllabus:
Provided at the start of the course. Selected articles will be announced when the course starts.

Mandatory activity:
Excercises and two written assignments in team. Compulsory activities is valid until the next time the course is offered.
Assessment:
The course is concluded with an oral team based examination based on the work the students have done and what they learned during the course (Lesson learned and a two minutes video). Final grading are based upon an evaluation of the presentation and a discussion with examinators. A retake exam is not organized in this course.
Nominal workload:
125 hours.
Entrance requirements:
The course is only for master students in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
