I am a PhD Candidate at the Department of International Environment and Development Studies (Noragric) since September 2018.
My project aims to understand the relationship between economic inequality and environmental change. During my PhD I will work on a case-study in the Mayan Rainforest, located in the Mexican Caribbean focusing in novel articulations between forestry cooperatives, NGOs, and the tourism industry.
My previous trainning consists on a Bachelor in Marketing in Tecnológico de Monterrey ,and a MSc in Rural Development and Natural Resources in El Colegio de la Frontera Sur, both in Mexico. My professional experience and academic interests mainly derive from collaborations with rural cooperatives and environmental NGOs.
