I have a Bachelor of Arts in Letters, Arts, & Sciences from Pennsylvania State University (2015), a Master of Social Science in Risk Management from the University of Copenhagen (2018), and a Master of Science in International Environmental Studies from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (2020). I have worked for several years in the public and private sectors, both in Norway and internationally.
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Economics and Business from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (2023). My research theme is Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI), and my project uses qualitative methods to explore how biotechnology firms in Norway manage competing interests and tensions in order to integrate sustainability and human rights, and how they ultimately define related success criteria in practice for being considered a ‘responsible’ business.
