Exam on campus with WISEflow Device Monitor
For certain exams on campus, you will have access to use software or resources that are not supported in locked mode with Lockdown Browser. In these cases, the program WISEflow Device Monitor is used instead.
This solution is also used for students with special needs, where access to Lingdys is required.
How does the solution work?
The program WISEflow Device Monitor must be running for you to get access to the assignment and be able to submit your answers in WISEflow.
During the exam period (and only from when you start the exam until you submit), the program will regularly save screenshots of what is visible on your computer screen - the same as what you see on your screen.
- You will have access to the screenshots in WISEflow after the exam.
- These are intended solely as documentation of the exam process and cannot be used as part of your submission.
- The screenshots are automatically deleted after 6 months.
- The program is approved by the university’s IT-department.
Before the exam
You must install WISEflow Device Monitor and check that it is working. If the installation does not work or you need help, you must contact us via eksamenshjelp@nmbu.no
On the day of the exam
You must start the program in order to access the exam assignment and submit your answers. Monitoring must be active throughout the entire exam.
During the exam
You may only use permitted aids. Other programs, documents, and files should not be opened or visible on your screen. The course responsible must clarify in advance which aids are allowed for the specific exam.
Permitted aids can, for example, be a browser window with Lovdata Pro or a new, blank Excel document.
A browser window with WISEflow (https://no.wiseflow.net/nmbu) and File Explorer/Finder for temporary storing of submission files will always be allowed because they are necessary to complete the exam.
If you visit other websites, open other programs, or open documents that are not defined as permitted aids, you may be suspected of cheating.
Tip: It is a good idea to turn off notifications (for example, activate "Do Not Disturb" mode) so that no unwanted elements appear on your screen during the exam.
