Nantes-Atlantic National College of Veterinary Medicine, Food Science and Engineering (ONIRIS)

ONIRIS was created in 2010 by the fusion of the National Veterinary School of Nantes, established in 1979, and the National School of Agri-Food Engineering of Nantes, established in 1974. The institution is a grande école with about 1100 students. Nantes is France’s sixth largest city, and attractions include the nearby Atlantic coast and Brière Regional Natural Park.

The agreement covers Food Sciences.

Who can apply
For all Erasmus agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits on your current NMBU program before commencing on an exchange study abroad.

Number of study places
Two students for one year.

Language of teaching
French, plus a master program with many courses in English.

Semester timing
Autumn semester: September – December.
Spring semester: January – May.

Tuition fees
Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.

The university can offer help in finding accommodation.
