About

Valencia is a charming city on the east coast of Spain, and the third largest city in the country. The Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (UPV) is a large university with 35,000 students spread over four campuses. NMBU has an agreement with several of the faculties at UPV.

  • *Agreement

    UPV has an emphasis on technical subjects. The agreement applies to the following faculties:

    ETSIAMN: Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agronómica y del Medio Natural (4 students for up to one year - food science, agriculture, forestry, biochemistry)

    ETSIGCT: Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Geodésica, Cartográfica y Topográfica (2 students for up to one year).

    ETSA: La Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura - landscape architecture, urban and regional planning (1 student for up to one year. ). Note that no courses are offered directly within landscape architecture, as this is a faculty of architecture.

    It is possible to take some subjects outside of these faculties, but you must be affiliated with one of these and take most of the subjects here.

    NB! Erasmus+ students must take at least 25 UPV credits as exchange students. 1 UPV credit corresponds to 0.8 ECTS

    Note that one must document Spanish equivalent to B2 level to be considered for exchange to UPV. It can, among other things, documented with a minimum of 5 in Spanish ll from VGS.

    Length of stay

    1 - 2 semesters.

  • Who can apply

    All Erasmus+ agreements require the completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad begins.

  • Language of instruction

    Spanish and English. Note that one must document Spanish equivalent to B2 level to be considered for exchange to UPV.

  • Semester timing

    Autumn semester: September - January

    Spring semester: February - June

  • Tuition Fees

    Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.
