Madrid is a vibrant city, with beautiful architecture, a bustling city life and beautiful parks. It is the capital and largest city of Spain.

Universidad Complutense was founded in 1499, making it one of the oldest universities in the world. Today, the university has around 50,000 students and is among the most renowned in Spain.

    The agreement applies to food science (offered by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine) and economics (master's level only)

  • Who can apply

    For all Erasmus+ agreements, you must have completed 60 credits before your stay abroad begins.

    NB! To be able to take master's courses in economics, you must have 240 credits upon departure. This means that you cannot travel to UCM during the first year of your master's degree.

  • Language of Instruction

    Spanish and English (some courses in English). However, you must have Spanish skills equivalent to B2 to take economics.

    UCM organizes free intensive courses in Spanish before each semester (September and February).

    Language requirements for veterinary students: Students must be able to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken Spanish. Teaching is in Spanish.

  • Semester timing

    October - July.

    For veterinary - spring semester.

  • Tuition fees

    Erasmus students must pay a semester fee and register at NMBU for the semester they are abroad, but do not have to pay a semester fee or other tuition fees at the partner university.

  • Courses
