About

Technische Universität Dortmund located in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, is often called the “green metropolis of Westphalia.” Nearly half of the city’s area is made up of forests, parks, rivers, and other green spaces. Technische Universität Dortmund, founded in 1968, is an innovative and forward-thinking university. Its campus lies just seven minutes by train from Dortmund’s city center. The university boasts an active student community and a significant proportion of international students.

    Agreement applies to economics and administration (bachelor and master).

    Length of stay

    1 semester.

  • Who can apply

    All Erasmus+ agreements require the completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad begins.

  • Language of Instruction

    German and English. Free 4-week intensive German course before each semester (March/September). Free German course throughout the semester.

  • Semester timing

    Fall semester: October to February

    Spring semester: April to August

  • Tuition fees

    Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university.

  • Housing

    Guaranteed room in a student dormitory - on or off campus.
