Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen is a modern institution with approximately 28,000 students, eleven faculties and several research centers. The university was founded in 1607 and received its current name after the famous chemist Justus Liebig.

• Agreement

  The agreement applies to veterinary medicine in the 10th semester. </p>

  Applicants should have at least a "C" average on their transcript from NMBU Veterinary School.

  Length of stay

  Veterinary students can complete up to 15 weeks of their clinical studies in the 10th semester.

  • 2 weeks of pathology, 2 - 3 weeks of equine
  • 3 - 5 weeks of small animals,
  • 2 - 4 weeks of production animals and up to 3 weeks of study.
• Who can apply

  All Erasmus+ agreements require the completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad begins.

• Language of Instruction

  Students must be able to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken German. Teaching is in German.

• Tuition fees

  Erasmus students must pay a semester fee and register at NMBU for the semester they are abroad, but do not have to pay a semester fee.
