Jan Evangelista Purkyně University (UJEP) is a public university in Ústí nad Labem, northern Czech Republic. The university offers a wide range of study programs and attracts both Czech and international students. Ústí nad Labem is known for its beautiful nature along the Elbe River and is an important educational and cultural center in the region.

  • The agreement

    The agreement is suitable for Technology and Product Development, Robotics, and Environmental Physics. It may also be relevant for Industrial Economics (INDØK) with these specializations. Both bachelor's and master's levels. The agreement only applies to courses at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

    Length of stay

    1 semester.

  • Who can apply

    The agreements require that you have completed 60 ECTS credits before the start of your stay abroad.

  • Language of instruction

    English (and Czech): You must be able to document English proficiency at level B1

  • Semester structure

    Autumn semester: end of September – beginning of February
    Spring semester: mid-February – beginning of July

  • Tuition fees

    Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fee at the partner university
