About

Escola Superior de Agricultura (ESALQ)is located in the city of Piracicaba in the state of São Paulo, which is also the name of the capital. Just under 400,000 people live in the city of Piracicaba, and the city is home to Brazil's oldest agricultural university, Escola Superior de Agricultura (ESALQ), which belongs to the University of São Paulo. NMBU has an exchange agreement with ESALQ/University of São Paulo, but exchanges to other units can also be arranged upon request.

    Length of stay

    1 til 2 semester.

  • Who can apply

    Applicants are ranged according to their average grade scores upon applying.

    All exchanges require a completion of 60ECTS prior to a stay abroad.

  • Language of Instruction

    Portuguese

    Knowledge of Portuguese is required if the applicant is to take courses. Knowledge of Portuguese is not required for assignment supervision or fieldwork.

  • Semester timing

    Fall semester: august - december
    Spring semester: february - march

  • Tuition fees

    Students travelling through the agreement are exempt from tuition fees.

  • Recognition of credits

    Bachelor level : 28 - 32 credits is equal to 30ECTS
    Full-time students take approximately 375 to 450 hours per semester.
