Information for the expert committee

Welcome to NMBU!
Thank you for taking on the job of assessing the competence of our candidates. Below you will find everything you require to fulfill your role on the committee:
Assess your impartiality
When you receive the list of applicants from NMBU, you must assess your impartiality. Here's more on how to do this:
Make an expert assessment - recruitment process
The starting point for expert assessments in a recruitment process is the advertisement text for the position and the candidates' applications. You will have access to these when the internal coordinator gives you access to the Jobbnorge platform.
The 1st of January 2025, NMBU implemented NMBU's Carreer Assessment Matrix, which provides guidelines for a broader assessment of the candidates for the position of professor and associate professor. The Career Assessment Matrix is embedded in the advertisement texts and the report template below. To get a comprehensive understanding of how to assess applicants at NMBU, we ask that you familiarize yourself with NMBU's guidelines and NMBU's Career Assessment Matrix below. The report template provides a good understanding of how the assessment should be structured.

The starting point for expert assessment of a promotion is the employee's application for promotion. You will receive the application from the internal coordinator at NMBU.
The 1st of January 2025, NMBU implemented NMBU's Career Assessment Matrix, which provides guidelines for a broader assessment of applicants who want promotion to associate professor or professor. The Career Assessment Matrix is built into the application template that the employee(s) fill in, and the report template below. To get a comprehensive understanding of how to assess applicants at NMBU, we ask that you familiarize yourself with NMBU's guidelines and NMBU's Career Assessment Matrix below. When the expert committee's assessment is in writing, the leader of the committee sends the report to NMBU for forwarding to the applicant(s). The applicant does not have the right to appeal against the expert's statement but may submit objections to the case procedings or comments on the experts' opinions within two weeks after the assessment report has been sent to the applicant. Comments on the experts' assessment are presented to the expert committee for any additional opinion before the internal coordinator at NMBU sends the whole thing to the organization's Appointment Committee.
Fee
When your job as an expert is completed, you will be paid a fee for the job from NMBU.
For information about fees, contact the internal coordinator at NMBU.
