It is with great sadness that we have received the news of the death of His Majesty King Harald.

Our heartfelt thoughts are with his immediate family during this difficult time.

On behalf of NMBU's students and staff, I wish to express our deepest sympathy.

We would also like to express our gratitude for the dedication and commitment the King showed throughout his life of service, and for being a unifying symbol for the people of Norway.

We remember King Harald as a champion of values such as inclusion, tolerance, equality, democracy and community.

Solve Sæbø
Rector, Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU)

A book of condolences for students and staff to sign will be available in the University Library in the Veterinary Building from 10 a.m. on Friday 28 August.
