More than 12 representatives from the municipality took part in the presentation and subsequent discussion.
The findings sparked a lively conversation about how nature-based solutions (NbS) can contribute far beyond aesthetic improvements. They can provide long-term economic benefits while strengthening the climate resilience of local communities.
The discussion also highlighted that successful implementation requires capacity and knowledge, as well as collaboration, commitment and coordination across sectors and departments. This is particularly important when different interests and priorities need to be balanced.
Participants also emphasized the importance of practical tools and clear entry points, such as stormwater management and the Blue-Green Factor. Greater attention to NbS can help support more integrated solutions that benefit both developers and local communities.
