Bio4Fuels had the opportunity of profiling Norway’s activities within the December issue of IEA Task 39’s magazine, as we represent Norway as a new member of this task for a new three-year period.

As outlined in the dedicated country report in the magazine, Norway has a longstanding tradition of taking advantage of biofuels as part of its climate mitigation obligations for the transport sector, in addition to having many advantages that could give it a leading role within production of sustainable fuels.
As part of IEA Task 39, Norway joins a very engaged partnership of 18 countries with the common goal of promoting Biofuels as means to “decarbonize” the transport sector in an international context. In addition to the special feature on Norway in the magazine, Norway had the privilege of hosting the ExCo meeting of IEA Bioenergy in Oslo this November, giving us the opportunity of hosting the full day technical meeting of Task 39.
We look forward to the collaboration with our esteemed international colleagues.
