The VIMAS consortium is excited to announce the opening of a
fully funded doctoral candidate position in Iceland, as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network (MSCA-DN) project:
Visitor Monitoring and Management in Protected and Recreational Areas – New Challenges, Novel Solutions for the Anthropocene (VIMAS).
The position is hosted by the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences and focuses on sustainable management of recreational opportunities in and around protected areas. The successful candidate will explore nature-based tourism through the lenses of neoliberalism, environmental justice, and social inclusion, contributing to innovative visitor monitoring strategies.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Iceland for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date.
- Must hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
