EAEVE - European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education

In December 2023 NMBU The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine received renewed accreditation from the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) for seven years.

EAEVE is an association of veterinary institutions in Europe, of which the NMBU is a member. EAEVE sends delegates to educational institutions to evaluate veterinary education programs. The accreditation itself is granted by the European Committee of Veterinary Education (ECOVE) based on the evaluation report of the EAEVE committee.

Accreditations are granted to ensure that the education adheres to EU regulations (EU Directives 2005/36/EU and 2013/55/EU) and serve as documentation of the quality of the education.

The evaluation system is designed to assure the public that they can trust the quality of newly graduated veterinarians. Additionally, it provides reassurance to veterinary students and educational institutions that the education meets established standards.
