Exchange opportunities in Latvia

Latvia is an exiting place to study for those who want something slightly different. The capital Riga is on UNESCO's World Heritage list, and Latvia also has long sandy beaches, vast forests and thousands of lakes and rivers.

NMBU's partner university in Latvia, Latvia University of Agriculture (LLU), has approximately 6,100 students and focuses on internationalization through numerous agreements and networks. LLU is located in Jelgava, 40 km from Riga, and is a good base for discovering the Baltic countries.

The city is known for its annual Ice Sculpture Festival, held in February. Jelgava and its surroundings also offer plenty of possibilities for sport and other activities.
