Operationalising Social Sustainability for Mobility
Social sustainability is being increasingly highlighted in national policy guidelines, research, and local practice. Yet it is still less concretely operationalised than environmental and economic aspects. This seminar will explore how social sustainability can be better integrated into ongoing and upcoming processes. Welcome!

Why now?
Several major planning and assessment processes make this topic particularly timely:
- The Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s urban studies provide the basis for upcoming renegotiations of urban growth agreements.
- The Regional Plan for Land Use and Mobility is currently under revision by Akershus County Council and the City of Oslo.
- The City of Oslo is developing a new Green Mobility Plan.
- Work on a revised National Transport Plan (NTP) is expected to begin shortly.
