Sonia Ferrari works as an associate professor in tourism marketing and place marketing at the University of Calabria in Italy, where she has also led Tourism Science Degree Course from 2007 to 2016. Ferrari’s research includes topics such as nature-based tourism, sustainable tourism, eco-tourism, events, and food-based tourism. Alongside her work at the University of Calabria, Ferrari has worked as chairman of the board of the Sila National Park from 2009 to 2014.
