Jan Vermaat will talk about the MADMACS project, which examined the direct and indirect consequences of aquatic macrophyte removal for ecosystem functions and services. The project included five experimental sites in Norway, Germany, France, South Africa and Brazil, and resulted in a risk assessment tool of macrophyte mass development and its ecological impacts.
