FYS254 Applied Thermodynamics
About this course
Basic fundamental thermodynamics concepts and their application in different scenarios. Introduction to energy cycles, ideal and real cycles process and their efficiency.
Learning outcome
Students will be given the fundamentals of thermodynamics and their applications to the energy industry world. Students will be taught to describe, understand and calculate various forms of energy transport and work-producing and work-consuming cyclic processes. The student is to be able to apply the necessary thermodynamics and other general physics in order to understand how we can make the most of our energy resources and use various energy transformation principles.
