BOT130 Introductory Plant Physiology
About this course
The course includes a part that deals with the basic structure and function of plants and a developmental physiological part about plants` responses to environmental factors. The experimental nature of the field is illustrated in practical laboratory experiments where the students themselves work with themes from the various course sections and receive training in report writing.
Learning outcome
Knowledge:
The course provides an introduction to plant structure and basic knowledge on how plant works and are affected by environmental factors.
Skills:
The students receive training in conducting practical experiments and presenting and discussing experimental results, applying key concepts and methods and collaborating in groups.
General competence:
The students will gain basic knowledge of key topics in plant physiology and an understanding of plant structure and function.
