Learning outcome
Knowledge: The student should have an overview of the most important stylistic eras in the history of garden art and their characteristics, and have an understanding of the social context and the theoretical perspectives that characterize the different phases.
Skills: The student must present subject matter in writing in a way that illuminates an issue in the history of garden art and landscape architecture. The student must be able to identify historical characteristics and discuss various works of garden art and landscape architecture as historically situated cultural expressions.
Competence: The student should be able to explain connections in the development of history and have insight into the relevance of history to current academic and societal issues and challenges.
