I am an Associate Professor in Aquaculture at the Faculty of Science and Technology (REALTEK), NMBU.
My focus area is understanding and optimizing the interaction between fish and food production systems, including Atlantic salmon and recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). I am particularly interested in how to improve current water treatment technologies to provide an optimal water quality and rearing conditions for a sustainable and responsible fish production.
I have worked as scientist at the research institute Nofima (+7 years) and I have a PhD degree in Aquaculture from the Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
