
As Director of Research and Innovation at NMBU, I am responsible for ensuring that the Research and Innovation Division supports the university’s ambitions and delivers high-quality services in the areas of research, doctoral education, and innovation. The division also provides strategic advice to the Rectorate on research and innovation policy, priorities, and institutional development.
The Research and Innovation Division comprises 14–16 staff members and is responsible for:
• supporting and strengthening the university’s research and innovation activities
• contributing to institutional development within the division’s areas of responsibility
• providing advice and guidance to individual researchers on external research funding opportunities and proposal development
• supporting the faculties in matters related to research and innovation administration, including NMBU’s PhD programmes
• developing and implementing administrative procedures and institutional routines
• serving as the secretariat for the Research Committee and the Research Ethics Committee, including the Committee on Research Integrity
• preparing matters for consideration by the University Board in collaboration with the Pro-Rector for Research and Innovation
