Professor

  • Forestry and Renewable Energy Section

I am a Professor of Forest Economics with long experience in research, public administration, industry, and the EU system. My expertise ranges from forestry, natural resource management, and economics to the bioeconomy, climate, and environmental policy. I have led and evaluated major national and European research and innovation projects, including work on climate-smart forestry, circular solutions, and the green transition.

Throughout my career, I have worked mainly at the intersection of science, policy, and practice—as a researcher, leader, board member, and evaluator. I am particularly interested in holistic solutions in which environmental, economic, and social aspects are assessed together. My goal is for research to deliver tangible benefits for industries, local communities, and the climate in everyday life.
