PhD from NMBU in plant production physiology where I worked on water relations, stomatal morphology and function, and the role of abscisic acid in the plant as a function of growth environment. I am now a tenure track postdoc, working on establishing photobiology as a subject area at the Faculty of Bioscience. This will encompass studying the effect of light on all aspects of plant growth - from molecular to production levels, including the effect of light on plant interactions with other environmental factors and pathogens. My own area of interest lies in the light reactions of photosynthesis and the potential use of fluorescence measurements in improving our understanding of how optimising photosynthesis may contribute to increased production yield and quality.
