Knut Einar Rosendahl

Professor

  • School of Economics and Business

I am professor in Economics at the School of Economics and Business at NMBU. In addition, I have a part time position as researcher in Statistics Norway, where I had a full time position before I came to NMBU in 2013. I have a PhD (Dr.Philos) from the University of Oslo.

My research is mostly within environmental and energy economics, especially climate economics. Examples are studies of how the EU Emissions Trading System and other climate policies affect the economy, emissions, and energy markets.

I have participated in several public commissions, including as chair of Teknisk beregningsutvalg for klima (2020-2023) and member of the Green Tax Commission (2015). I have previously been chair of the Norwegian Association for Energy Economists, and deputy chair of the labour union Samfunnsøkonomene (The economists). I am currently co-editor of the journal Resource and Energy Economics.

Here are links to my accounts on Google Scholar, LinkedIn and Bluesky.
