
Research topic(s): The role of consultants in influencing political frameworks, practices, and planning outcomes.
Eilert is a PhD candidate (2025–) at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (BYREG) at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). His research interests include urbanization, power and agency, institutional planning, and sustainability transition. He holds a master’s degree in Human Geography from the University of Oslo (UiO), where he focused onurbanization and development aid. Before joining NMBU, he worked as a social scientist with Rodeo Architecture. He also has professional experience with UN-Habitat. He has taught courses and guest lectured in urban geography, development, and urban planning at UiO and NMBU.
Eilert is deputy chair of Habitat Norway, a thematic division of the Norwegian Housing and Planning Association (BOBY):
