I am a PhD candidate in development economics writing about the intersection between global coffee value chains, sustainable interventions, and smallholder farmers' livelihoods.
My first papers seek to disentangle the relationship between sustainability in the coffee industry (e.g., Fairtrade, specialty coffee) and smallholder farmers' livelihood strategies. The work is based on surveys and interviews with smallholder coffee farmers in Timor-Leste.
