I am teaching plant science within the area of seed crops including cereals, oilseeds and grain legumes. My research is on wheat quality including genetic and environmental factors affecting wheat quality, gluten protein polymerization during maturation and desiccation, and pre-harvest sprouting. In recent years the research has also included grain legumes as peas and faba bean, production potential in Norway, agronomic performance and quality. I have led several research projects in wheat and grain legumes with participation from other research institutes and industrial partners covering the value chains.
