About this course
The course will provide the theoretical basis and principles for estimation of net greenhouse gas emissions from plant- and livestock production based on whole farm models/Climate calculators. The climate calculators will be demonstrated both in theory and through case-studies. The students will learn to use, analyze and interpret the results from the calculators and suggest mitigation options for individual farms.
Learning outcome
Knowledge
The students are to get
- thorough knowledge about the principles of whole farm models to estimate greenhouse gas emissions/Climate calculators and potentials and limitations of these
- broad knowledge about the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at farm level
Skills
The students are to
