About this course

The course consists of 15 days with supervised teaching practice. During these days, the students shall plan, execute and evaluate their teaching practice in cooperation with the supervisors.

Learning outcome

The students develop knowledge, skills and general competencies when it comes to planning and execution of teaching processes in science and/or mathematics.

  • Learning activities

    The teacher students shall prepare plan and report for the period in teacher practice and they write plans for each teaching session as basis for supervision. The teacher students also write logs during the course.

  • Teaching support

    The student is supported by the supervisor and by the communication with and visit from the teacher training department.

    An overview of course literature will be distributed.

  • Assessment method

    Teaching practice lasts for 15 days altogether, as an integrated part of the study.

    Mark: Passed/Not passed.

    The supervisors/practice school have the main responsibility for evaluating the teaching practice period, while Department of Educational Sciences is responsible for the total final evaluation.

  • About use of AI

    K3 - Full use of AI. Use of AI is permitted, but must be in line with the guidelines for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) at NMBU.

    The student must explain how and why AI has been used in the work on the practice report. Furthermore, the student must discuss how and why the use of AI contributes to the development of their own professional and didactic understanding and practice theory.

  • Mandatory activity

    A plan for the period of practice, and a report just after the period is finished.The teacher students recommended also to write logs during the course.
