We start with the phases which the mythical heroes and heroines are going through in their quest for insight. Each of these phases is illustrated with participants own experiences, with topics from myths, tales, poetry, paintings and other art forms, as well as biographical events in the lives of known researchers and artists.
The students shall become conscious of the scientific and personal challenges posed by a researcher education. The participants shall also master their ability to communicate the challenges faced during the research process.
Assignments and exercises that aim to give the participants associations to possible dilemmas in creative processes. Seminars and conversations on the participants experiences from the exercises and their experiences from exploring the unknown to find something new. Lectures and conversations on materials from the art that can be suitable when it comes to elaboration on such experiences and that can be useful when it comes to communication.
Reading list which includes ca. 800 pages is handed out.
Participation in minimum 80% of the activities.
Written assignment which counts 100 %. The participants write an assignment on their own development and how they can use mythical and artistic motives and own expressions to throw light on this and get inspiration for preparation of current conflicts. The participants present the content of their assignment, and the other participants and the teacher will comment on it.
